The essential principle

Retrio only analyses the folders you choose. Documents, photos, filenames and paths, extracted content, indexes and search text remain on your computer and are not sent to the Retrio website.

Licence data

If you enter an email address to activate Retrio Pro, it is sent to the Retrio licence service to verify the subscription status.

Technical app analytics

Retrio sends PostHog a minimal set of technical events: app launches, version, operating system, completed indexing, use of major features and the category of a technical error. Filenames, paths, file contents, search text, OCR results and licence email addresses are never included.

A random identifier is created again on every launch and is not retained between sessions. This minimal measurement is enabled by default and can be disabled or enabled again at any time under “Privacy” in the app.

Website analytics

With your consent, the website sends PostHog pseudonymous audience events: pages viewed and clicks leading to downloads, payment or support. Documents, search text, email addresses and payment information are never included.

Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of data associated with your licence email by contacting retrio.pro@gmail.com.
